Our Commitment
Accessibility is a core standard
Scooter Your Way™ is committed to ensuring our website and services are accessible to all users, including people with disabilities. We believe that everyone deserves equal access to transportation solutions, and that starts with equal access to the information and tools on our website.
We are working toward conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA — the internationally recognized standard for web accessibility — and are actively addressing known gaps identified through regular accessibility audits.
What We've Built
Accessibility features
⏸️
Video Pause Controls
All autoplay background videos include a visible pause/play button, meeting WCAG 2.2 Success Criterion 2.2.2 for moving content.
⌨️
Keyboard Navigation
Interactive elements — modals, buttons, navigation, and founder cards — are fully operable via keyboard. Modal dialogs trap focus and support Escape to close.
🏷️
ARIA Labels
All interactive controls carry descriptive aria-label attributes. Modal dialogs use role="dialog" and aria-modal="true".
🖼️
Alternative Text
All content images include descriptive alt attributes. Decorative images are marked with empty alt text to be skipped by screen readers.
🔤
Semantic HTML
Pages use semantic heading structure (h1–h3), landmark regions, and proper list markup to support assistive technology navigation.
📱
Responsive Design
The site is fully responsive and supports zoom up to 200% without loss of functionality or horizontal scrolling. Touch targets meet minimum size requirements.
🎨
Contrast Improvements
Following our June 2026 audit, we raised text contrast ratios across all pages to meet or exceed the 4.5:1 minimum for normal text and 3:1 for large text.
📝
Minimum Text Size
All text on the site renders at a minimum of 11px. Decorative labels and eyebrow text have been updated to meet this requirement following our June 2026 audit.
